Little Girl on an Airplane
airplane leaving from DALLAS when the he turned to her and said,
'Let's talk. I've heard that flights go quicker if you strike up a conversation
with your fellow passenger.' The little girl, who had just opened her book, closed it slowly and said to the total stranger, 'What would you like to talk about?'
'Oh, I don't know,' said the congressman.
'How about global warming or universal health care', and he smiles smugly.OK, ' she said. 'Those could be interesting topics. But let me ask you a
question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff - grass.
Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty,
and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?'
The California legislator, visibly surprised by the little girl's
intelligence , thinks about it and says, 'Hmmm, I have no idea.'
To which the little girl replies, 'Do you really feel qualified to discuss
global warming or universal health care when you don't know crap?

Heratage Foundation....Billions for Stimulus Zero Job Creation!
On February 11th, President Barack Obama stood on a windy hilltop in front of a dusty construction site in Fairfax County, Virginia, and promised the American people: "Here in Virginia, my plan will create or save almost 100,000 jobs, doing work at sites just like this one." Standing alongside current Democratic National Committee Chairman and former-Gov. Tim Kaine, the President continued: "Where we're standing, that could mean hundreds of construction jobs. And the benefits of jobs we create directly will multiply across the economy." Eleven months later, none of those promised jobs have been "created or saved." In fact, the Obama administration quietly announced last week that they were dropping the fraudulent "saved or created" terminology altogether.

The Wizard of Oz
Is 70 years old.
Today, if Dorothy were to encounter
Men with no brains, no hearts, and no courage -
She would not be in Oz...
She'd be in Congress!

Rasmussen Poll December 26, 2009
Most voters (55%) oppose the health care legislation working its way through Congress. Those who feel strongly about the legislation are overwhelmingly opposed to it. Most voters favor a ban on coverage of abortion in any insurance plan subsidized by the federal government. Most voters (54%) also believe they personally will be worse off if the health care plan passes. Just 25% think they will be better off. A commentary by Michael Barone notes that it been more than 150 years since such significant but unpopular legislation was passed through Congress on a partisan basis.
Twenty-nine percent (29%) say the economy is getting better while 47% say it’s getting worse. Just 29% say the United States is heading in the right direction. Republicans have opened their largest advantage yet on the Generic Congressional Ballot.
It is important to remember that the Rasmussen Reports job approval ratings are based upon a sample of likely voters. Some other firms base their approval ratings on samples of all adults. President Obama's numbers are always several points higher in a poll of adults rather than likely voters. That's because some of the President's most enthusiastic supporters, such as young adults, are less likely to turn out to vote. It is also important to check the details of question wording when comparing approval ratings from different firms.
